Bitter or Better

Difficult Year

2020 was a rough year for the world; it cost some more than others. I lost a good friend last year. She loved everyone. We worked hard and played hard. She loved to laugh. She was active in her church. She and her husband worked together every day in a tract printing ministry. Every person who came in contact with her felt special and loved. I never saw her being idle or unkind. She loved life. She lived life fully and without regrets. She shared a smile and God’s love everywhere she went. Her life was not without sad moments but she did not let it make her bitter. We need more people like her in this world.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to stay stuck in 2020? Or are you going to be thankful that you have another day to make a difference with your life? I choose to make the world around me a better place showing love and kindness to others. I choose to make the most of every moment that is given to me. What about you? Don’t allow 2020 and the current condition of the world to make you bitter. Allow it to make you better.
